Cheese tasting tour

Our cheese tasting tour takes you through the process of making organic, artisanal cheese: from pasture to table. We’ll start with a visit of the farm, the milking area, see the animals and end with a guided tasting of our raw milk cheeses.

Just 30 minutes from Rouen and 2.5 hours from Paris, our organic farm welcomes you for a cheese tasting tour in Bois-Héroult, in the heart of Normandy.

Discover the farm, meet our grass-fed cows, and learn how the quality of the milk is essential for making good cheese.

Our food tour continues with a guided tasting of our four signature cheeses: Tome de Bray, Meule de Bray, Saint-Bray, and Fumé de Bray.

You’ll learn the key stages of cheesemaking and basic tasting techniques while enjoying our farm-produced cheeses, paired with a glass of cider or apple juice.

For hygiene and food safety reasons, the production room and aging cellars are not part of the tour.

Monica, a gastronome originally from Puerto Rico, has lived on the farm for over 12 years. Specialised in local products with an international perspective, she shares the richness of French cheese culture in a warm and accessible way.

How long is the visit?

The cheese tasting tour lasts about 90 minutes: 45 minutes visiting the farm and 45 minutes in the tasting room.

No, we only welcome the public during guided tours.

To buy cheese without visiting, please order through our online shop: https://boutique.fermedelaquesne.fr.

No, for hygiene and safety reasons, the production room and aging cellar are not accessible to the public.

Yes, children are welcome but must remain under adult supervision throughout the visit.

Please contact us in advance: evenements@fermedelaquesne.fr. The tasting room is accessible, but the farm paths are not.

Yes, we offer tours in English and Spanish. Please be sure to inform so on at the moment of booking.

A minimum of 4 people are necessary for a visit to take place. If you’re fewer, you can join our waiting list and be notified if spots open in a group.

Yes, after the visit you can purchase cheese, honey, cider, apple juice and chicken pâtés. More products will be added soon.

Yes, we offer a buffet meal featuring farm products from our local producer partners. There’s also a picnic table available for free.
